Our French striped cotton cloth is a mill-finished cloth, the stripes are woven together from yarn that has already been dyed and finished by the mills making them. We do not print our stripes on top of the fabric as do a number of our contemporaries, it is widely known in the fabric industry that a yarn dyed woven cloth is far superior to that that has been printed, hence the reason that we select these fabrics when possible in designing our collections.
Fabric Information
- Our french stripes run horizontal along the length of the fabric, that is the stripe is as long as the cut piece of fabric.
- The width of the cloth varies between 145 - 148cm wide.
- Our striped fabric is 100% cotton.
- Our striped are woven not printed.
- Our striped fabrics are UV and fade resistant.
- We do not use formaldehyde in the manufacturing of our cloth.
- The weight of our cloth is similar to that of a cotton drill or medium weight canvas.
Our collection of 100% Cotton French Stripe Fabrics can be purchased by the metre and are suitable for drapes, roman blinds, lamp shades, chair coverings, cushions, pin boards and other soft furnishings within the home.
