Why the name? Madder Red was was an ancient dyestuff, extracted from the root of the madder plant, growing in many countries around the world. The secret and devilishly complex Oriental dyeing process to obtain the lustrous colour known as Turkey Red was avidly sought by Europeans, from the time before the fall of Ancient Rome. It was finally cracked by the French about 1760, who were able to dye wool, silk and cotton to bright red.
A very versatile option, that will work well with other treasures in baby's room. And your little one need not out-grow the stripes, meaning when they are no longer in a cot, the duvet cover can still have a place in the room, across the bed, a chair, or an extra snuggly blanket for on the sofa. It's a good reason to opt for a design that isn't too age specific.
Our 100% cotton Madder Red Cot Duvet Covers are designed with the full stripe on the top side of the cover and 100% white cotton percale on the reverse.
Our cot duvet covers measure 100x130cm, making them the perfect fit for Fairydown Cot Duvet Inners. We have chosen to fasten this cot duvet cover with a zip as this is a safe option for little fingers and biters!
Proudly 100% New Zealand designed and manufactured as with all Gorgi products.
