Our series of pillowcases and designs 'Printed in Cotton' feature thoughtful quotes and verses from inspirational individuals. Writings to ponder as you retire for the evening.
Our first in the series features a verse written by Elizabeth Edwards - a best-selling author and health care activist. Elizabeth experienced a number of personal tragedies and wrote this verse for her children shortly before she herself died of breast cancer in 2010; "She stood in the storm and when the wind did not blow her away, she adjusted her sails"
This gorgeous pillowcase is designed with a 5cm sham (hemmed edge) running along all four sides of the pillowcase, almost as if there is a frame surrounding the pillow, and is hand printed using a black water based ink by our very talented printers.
Sold as a single pillowcase.
A special note
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among NZ women. 1 in 9 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. 90-95% of women who are diagnosed have no family history of the disease. Women of all ages, especially those over the age of 40 years need to be 'breast aware'. The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation 2012.
Proceeds of Gorgi's Oxford with Quote by Elizabeth Edwards will be donated to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation of $5 for every pillowcase sold.
